Ordinary pancakes

I want to write this in another language but English is what I have to work with… sorry English. Take 2 cups flour and a handful of lard (Crisco) beat together in a KitchenAid stand mixer then add 1 tablespoon baking powder 2 tablespoons sugar and a pinch of salt. Beat some more. Add 2 eggs 2 cups milk and 1 teaspoon vanilla, mix well. Stir in a cup of granola (by hand). Now they’re not so ordinary but you will be thankful. Cook over medium heat on a nonstick surface, 1-2 minutes per side until bubbles stop forming. Now give that recipe to your kids and let them give it a try. Can they make ordinary pancakes? My youngest son, born eight weeks premature, now towers over the whole stack.
