One summer in outer-space

an old notion got in my head…
I’ll do a spacewalk.
I was in the cockpit, I was alone,
I was surrounded by equipment.
I said, let’s do this.

I had many years alone in outer-space.
I was enterprising, floating alone,
I saw many suns.
I had them wire the light into me.

But where were they now? How did I wake up?
Where were my fellows?
It didn’t make any sense to me—so what?
I danced in a room. I saw myself famous.
I woke up and saw the Halley’s comet.
